Senju 77 vs Thunder 69
It’s finals time! What a battle for these two amazing teams that displayed talent and hard work through the whole 2022 Spring Season!
Game started in favour of Thunder, with great ball movement and having on #21 Tristan the hot hand beyond the arc. Senju struggled to find easy baskets, but with great leadership and patience from their leaders, they were able to stay composed and started to close the gap. With 10 minutes left in the second half, the game was tied, and the energy in the Richmond Oval was absolutely amazing. The lack of substitutions from Thunder was a clear factor, the ball and player movement were not the same, and the transition defence was getting more challenging possession after possession. Senju had a couple of great plays to close the game, with #8 Warren and #22 Othniel leading their team to the Metro League Championship.
Congratulations to Senju and Thunder for a great final, and every single team that participated in this 2022 Spring Season! We are back, ball is back! We can’t wait for the summer season! We will see you all on the court!
